Obituary of Albert Momorella
Momorella, Albert J. age 82, on June 24, 2012 of Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, PA. Al died peacefully in his sleep shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Son of the late Joseph and Maria (nee Cavallucci) Momorella, he was born in Willow Grove, PA. Graduate of LaSalle and Temple Universities, Al moved on to a career in education both as a teacher and administrator and successfully completed his career with the help of his guide dog, Lonesome. He worked in Philadelphia, Colonial and Norristown Area School Districts for 32 years. He received numerous awards including Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, and LaSalle Administrator of the Year. Al was also very active in various clubs and served as an officer of the Paoli Optimist Club, the Wayne AARP chapter, President of Epiphany of Our Lord Seniors Group and President of the Normandy Farms Estates Residents Association. A United States Army veteran, Al served 2 years as a personnel speaker during the Korean War.
Husband of the late Lillian (nee McLintock) and the late Helen (nee Yodesky). He is survived by his daughter Judy Lassen Hoffman (Joel Hoffman) and his son Jim Momorella, as well as his stepchildren Douglas, Christine, Donald (Dee) and Sandra Eckard. A devoted and loving grandfather, Al is also survived by his 5 granddaughters Carly, Jennifer, Michelle, Abby and Megan. Brother of Lawrence Momorella (Lee) and the late James Momorella.
