Dr. Augustus Edward Fricker, Jr., VMD, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the age of 75. Augustus lived in Southern Shores, NC, a small community in the Outer Banks of NC, for the last 6 years. He was the son of the late Bud and Sara Jane Fricker.

Augustus was born in Philadelphia in 1940 and was a graduate of William Tennent High School of Warminster, PA Class of 1958. He also went to Drexel University, where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 1963, and the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree in 1967. Augustus had a private veterinary practice and worked concurrently for the USDA for 30 years. He was a former member of the LuLu Shriners of Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Augustus is survived by his wife, Lorraine Fricker, of over 46 years; his brother Ronald Fricker (Bea); his daughter, Laurel Esposito (Patrick) and his son, Augustus (Ted) Fricker, III (Ruth); his grandchildren Julian, Liam, Emma and Mara.

Family and friends are invited to Augustus''s viewing from 9:00AM-11:30AM on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Kirk&Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, followed by his funeral service at 11:30AM also at the funeral home. Entombment at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
