Obituary of Barbara Blanck
Mrs. Barbara Steel Blanck passed away Thursday September 8th, 2011 at Brightview Assisted Living in East Norriton. Formerly of Chesnut Hill, she most recently resided in Schwenksville. Born and raised in Mount Airy, she was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church where she was a choir member and Sunday School teacher. It was also there where she married her husband of 62 years, Bob--actually 25 years to the day her parents were married in the same church by the same minister. She was also a 42- year member of The Trinity Lutheran Church, Germantown, where she was both a member of the choir and of the Altar Guild. At the time of her death, she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lansdale. Family was extremely important to Barbara and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family in Ocean City, NJ where she spent the vast majority of her summers. She relished spending time at the beach and could be seen helping her kids out at MeriSteve's Subs in Ocean City. Surviving are her husband, Robert F., her daughter, Meredith S. Marando-Blanck, and her husband, Stephen, of Audubon, her grandson, Robert L. Blanck, of Bridgeport, her granddaughters, Amanda C. and Stephanie M. Marando-Blanck, of Audubon, and her great-grandson Robert F. Blanck, of Bridgeport. She is also survived by her sister, Joann S. Berger. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service Tuesday September 13, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Krauth Memorial Chapel of The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia 7301 Germantown Ave. Phila. Int. Private.
