Barbara L. (McConnell) Keen, age 88, beloved wife of the late Russell Samuel Keen of Lansdale, PA, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 in Lansdale. Born on October 23, 1934 in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Ruth (Haley) McConnell. She was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Nursing program and was a registered nurse who specialized in labor and delivery. She married Russell Samuel Keen in 1959. Barbara enjoyed flowers, gardening, the holidays, traveling,the beach, and her cats. Family, friends, and her church were of the utmost importance to Barbara. She is survived by her son: Christopher Keen, husband of Deborah (Mull) of Hatfield, daughter: Susan Ruth Slawinski, wife of Robert of Lansdale. Grandmother of Susan Katherine Slawinski, Roberta, and Sara Slawinski. Sister of Mary Boggs of St. Alban's, WV. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Saturday, January 28, 2022 at 11 :00 AM with Rev. Julie Dewerth officiating at Kirk & Nice Funeral Home at George Washington Memorial Park. Burial will follow after services. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM Saturday morning at the funeral home.
