IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Heitz
Wirsing
August 14, 1941 – March 12, 2024
Barbara "Barb" age 82 went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2024.
Barbara was born to the late R. Wilford Heitz and Suzanne Pisut Heitz and raised in Lafayette Hill, PA. She is survived by her siblings, Michael Heitz husband to the late Judy Heitz and the late Nancy Heitz, and Donna Nansteel married to Dr. John Nansteel. Barb was married to the late Richard L. Wirsing. She graduated from Bryn Mawr Nursing School, with her sister-in-law Ann Cook, and devotedly served as a nurse to the elderly community for over 30 years.
She was fascinated with watching and identifying birds. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and seeing them bloom. She loved talking to and visiting with her family and friends, and was enamored with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barb was a strong woman of faith, and a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in PA. She took every opportunity to share God's word throughout her life.
Barbara and Richard had four children: Diana and husband Darren Vigil, Nancy and husband David Hoffmann, David and wife Andrea Wirsing, Carolyn and husband Mark Zessin. Barb was grandmother to Conner, Amanda, Brittney, Lucas, Kristen, Chase, Jayde, Leah, Sam, Ashlyn, Casey, James, Trevor, Kaitlyn, and Sophia. Barb was great grandmother to Annabelle, Micah, Owen, Ezra and Danny.
No matter what state Barb lived in she rooted herself in church, made many friends and touched the lives of everyone she met.
For so many years you were shackled by disease and although we are saddened, you are finally free.
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. JAMES 1:12
