Obituary of Carol Metropole

Carol J. ( nee Snyder ) ,age 72 , on August 15,2013, of Blue Bell, Pa and formerly of Allentown and Philadelphia. Beloved wife of Mike Metropole, loving mother of Patrick, Nancy ( Bob ), Linda James, Jr .and Karen ( Peter ); devoted grandmom of David, Samantha, Olivia, James, 3rd, and Amanda; great grandmom of Jace and Linc. Carol is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Davis ( Todd ). She was a registered nurse for over 40 years and graduated from Lankenau Hospital Nursing School in 1961. Carol received her Bachelor's degree from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science in 1993. She was a nurse - educator, and was dedicated to help other nurses achieve their goals and professional excellence. Carol was a talented pianist, enjoyed quilting, and loved arts and crafts. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday evening, August 20, 2013, from 7 to 9 pm, at the Kirk & Nice, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, Pa 19462 ( 610 - 832 - 2064 ) . Carol's funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11 am ( no viewing prior to mass ) at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 120 Allison Rd., Oreland, Pa 19075. Interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
