Obituary of Charles Laskey

Mr. Charles A. L. Laskey passed away on December 6th. He was 83. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Pomponi) Laskey who he met while working at Lees Mill in Bridgeport. An avid hunter, he was perhaps most proud of his 60 years as a HAM/Ameteur Radio operator at "K3YBJ". He was an electrician working for 35 years at Norristown State Hospital and prior to that for the Rail Road. Upon retiring he also worked at the General Washington Country Club in Audubon and at his son's various Dairy Queen Locations. He will be remembered for leaving school to work so that he could ensure support for his family during the depression. He also was a great lover of music and passed that on to his 5 children. He loved playing the guitar and harmonica and could be caught doing both at the same time. He is survived by his Children Charles (Chops) Jr. and his wife Susan, his son Anthony S. and his wife Cynthia of Lebanon, TN, his daughter Deborah Fritz and her husband James, his son Kenneth C. and his wife Joanna and his son Daniel J. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren Christopher, Kevin, Keith, Malanie, Nicole, Chevelle, Stefani, Charles, Nichole, Concetta, Kenneth and Gabriel. He will also be greatly missed by his 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. His Funeral Service will take place Friday 10:00 AM in the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting where friends may call after 9:00 AM and his family requests that you please dress casually.
