Obituary of David Easter
Easter, David- On July 18, 2013 God summoned his faithful servant and gently called David Easter for eternal rest.
David was born in Homestead, PA. to the late Odell & Ruth Easter. He was affectionately known to his family as "Day", "Davey", "Buddy", and of course, "Mr. David". During his formative years, David persued his education within the Homeastead Public School System, where he excelled academically, and in sports and music. While in high school, David played the clarinet, while also participating in football and track. Shortly after graduating from high school, David joined the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served for four years.
Upon his return from the Air Force, he moved to New York City for two years and then to Philadelphia where he remained for the rest of his life. During his tenure as a Philadelphia resident, he attended Drexel University and received a degree in Business Accounting. He later persued additional training and certifications in Computer Technology. During David's professional career, he has served as a Computer instructor, Computer Programmer, and Analyst. His passion for critical thinking and problem solving, coupled with his love for family, was apparent in the life he lived and lives he touched.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years, Audrey Easter, his sons Scott Easter, David Vaughn, and Donte` Vaughn (Hazel Vaughn), daughters Dorlayna Vaughn (Charles Davis) and Davida Price (Chris Price). Also left to cherish his memory are his five grandchildren; Destynie Davis, Sommer Davis, Charles Davis, Jr., Tanner Vaughn, and Mikayla Vaughn; Two brothers, Darryl Harris (Marty Harris) and Kenneth Easter (Evelyn Easter), and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
