David C. Hanwell passed away on December 28, 2019 at his residence in Schwenksville, PA.  He was 78.  David was born in Philadelphia on February 9, 1941 to the late Cyril and his cherished mother, Ethel (Sinnamon) Hanwell.

He graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia with a Bachelors Degree on January 22, 1959 and was a National Merit Finalist.  Following that, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Purdue University in January 1963 and later a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University in 1994.

David served honorably with the United States Air Force before joining the private sector as a computer analyst with PECO for many years.  Between the years of 2013 and 2017, he was an auditor for Lower Frederick Township.  When he was not working or serving our country, he was interested in expanding his knowledge of various subjects, particularly sports and politics.

He was married and then divorced, leaving behind no children although he was a loving companion to several beloved dogs and one cat.

David leaves behind his younger sister, Joanne, for whom he made many sacrifices and who is bereft without him.

A kind and beautiful soul, David was a generous friend to many.  He was sensitive, loving, and now free to explore anything and everything he was unable to in life.  He was convinced that God lives, and he now resides within His glory.

Services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
