David, 73, of Jeffersonville passed away on July 16, 2017. He was born in Philadelphia on Dec. 5, 1943 to the late David W. and Violet (Lindsay) Malason. He was the loving husband of Dolores Malason for 44 years for who he had unlimited love and devotion. He served as a Lance Corporal in the Marines in Vietnam. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, and the Veterans Association. He was a successful member of the Operating Engineers, Local 542, where he ran two of his own heavy equipment businesses: Dallas Equipment was left to him by his father; and Malason & McCarrick Crane Rental where he worked with his two sons as an entrepreneur. His real passion was spending time with his sons and daughter and eventually his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Terry Malason.
He is survived by his wife; children Sandra Marciano (Joseph), David Malason (Maureen), and Thomas Malason (Cheryl); 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings Michael Malason, Gail Portnoy, and Robert Malason; and many other loving family and friends.
All are invited to a visitation on Friday, July 21 from 9-11am and a memorial service at 11am, both at the Heritage Chapel at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
