Obituary of David Miller

MILLER, DAVID A. Sr., 90 years, of Shannondell, Audubon, formerly of Plymouth Meeting. He was the husband of the late Estelle (LeNoir) Miller for 67 years. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 30, 1920 to his late parents Forrest D. Miller and Florence (Burns) Miller.

He spent his high school years in Philadelphia graduating from Frankford High School. Upon graduation he began working for Trent, Inc. in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. He served in the Army during WWII. He trained in the army with a special unit as a Navy Frogman Stationed in Ft. Pierce, FL. He was stationed in Japan when the war was declared over. Upon his discharge from the Army, he returned to work at Trent, Inc. where he remained until retiring after 45 years as Vice President of Marketing for the company.

David and Estelle traveled extensively. In his retirement he enjoyed playing golf. As a former member of Plymouth Valley Baptist Church, he served on many boards and sang in the choir. He was a fun loving, caring man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by children Nancy (Harold) McWilliams, Lynda (David) Stanton and David A. Jr. (Margery) Miller. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren Donald (Michele) Stanton, Glenn Stanton, Jodie Miller, Jeffrey (Leni) Miller, Justin (Monika) Miller, Scott (Naomi) McWilliams, and Andrew (Shelly) McWilliams and 7 great grandchildren Danielle and Brianna Stanton, Balian and William Miller, Benjamin McWilliams and Harris and Gwendolyn McWilliams. One brother also survives him, Robert Miller of Barrington, NJ. He is survived by some cousins, 2 sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
