Diane Pappentick Butt passed away peacefully on Mar. 15, 2022.
Born Sept 7 1940, Diane was the first of three children born to Horace Pappentick and Margaret Pappentick (Hibbs) of Germantown, PA. She graduated from Germantown High School in 1958 and went to work for UNIVAC in Blue Bell, where she met S. Page Butt, Jr of New York. Page and Diane were married on April 8, 1967, and resided for 40 years in Gwynedd, PA where they raised their two children, Jeffrey and Sara.
For many years, Diane served as a Sunday school teacher at Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church.
In her professional life she spent 25 years as a beloved employee of the Wissahickon School District. She began as an aide with the Title 1 program and later moved on to be the Secretary to the Director of Educational Research and Development where she oversaw federal programs and grants. Her drive, attention to detail, willingness to take on additional tasks and go above and beyond were greatly appreciated by everyone she worked with.
Following her retirement from the school district, Page and Diane moved into the Meadowood Community at Worcester, where she spent much of her time volunteering to run the Meadowood gift shop, the Gosling's Nest. Here, her drive and attention to detail helped to make the gift shop a great success.
Diane was predeceased by her husband Page as well as her brother Robert Pappentick. She is survived by her brother Bill, his wife Kathi, her son Jeff and daughter Sara as well as four grandchildren: Shelby, Cassidy, Alexa and Abby.
All are invited on Saturday, April 9th for a visitation from 11-12, followed by the Celebration of her life at noon that will be held at Meadowood Senior Living, 3205 W. Skippack Pike, Worcester, PA 19490.
