Doris H. Bishop passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, PA after a long illness. She was 96 years old, born on September 10, 1924 in Philadelphia PA to the late Frederick Holoch and Sarah N. (Downing) Holoch Mortimer.

She graduated from Germantown High School in 1942 and was married to her late husband, Philip C. Bishop in 1946. They were married for 68 years and lived in Oreland PA, Woodland Hills CA, Springhouse PA, Stone Harbor NJ and Blue Bell PA. She enjoyed traveling, painting, sewing and spending time at the beach. She taught sewing at the Florence Crittenton Home and the Stevens School and volunteered for many organizations.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Linda (Thomas) Bacher of Erdenheim PA and Nancy (Dennis) Villasenor of Glendora CA; grandchildren Jeffrey Bacher, Laura Bacher Martin, Cynthia Villasenor, Stephen Villasenor, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Philip C. Bishop and her stepfather, Thomas G. Mortimer.

Her private memorial service and interment will be held at the Church of the Messiah in Lower Gwynedd Township PA.
