Dorothea Janet (Marley) Wynne (1924-2013)
Dorothea Wynne, 89, of Frederick, PA, passed peacefully on July 29, 2013. She was predeceased by John Herbert Wynne Sr., her husband of 57 years.
Survived by: sons John H. (Barbara), Douglas M. (Nancy) and Donald E. (Bonnie Brown) Wynne. Grandchildren and great grandchildren Jeffrey P. Wynne (Charity) and daughter Emma, Christine H. Hallman (Barry) daughters Chandler and Caroline and son Luke, Timothy T. Wynne (Becky) sons AJ Aaron John and Henry and daughter Madelyn, Michael A. Wynne (Sara) sons Rane and Michael and daughter Soleil, Meredith Wilson (Drew) sons Logan and Dylan, Donald E.B. Wynne, and Michael and Don Jr.'s mother, Laurie B. Wynne. Step grandchildren and step great grandchildren Erin D. Wright (Ryan) daughters Merritt and Hollis, and Andrew D. Dafoe (Kristin) son Theodore.
Dorothea was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and a faithful and devoted wife, mother, and "Gram." Dorothea was born and raised in Roxborough and was a 1942 graduate of Roxborough High School. Dorothea and family continued to live in Roxborough until 2003. Dorothea was a devoted member of Talmage Reformed Church. She served as the church organist, pianist and choir director there for over 38 years. She was very active in church fellowship groups such as King's Daughters. Later, as a member of Leverington Presbyterian Church, she served on the Board of Trustees and assisted in Church Treasurer duties. Dorothea was the Secretary Treasurer at Blankin Equipment Corporation for over 35 years and served as an employee for over 50 years. Dorothea enjoyed life at the Masonic Village of Lafayette Hill for nine years after leaving the Roxborough family home. Dorothea's last few months were spent at Frederick Living, a continuing care retirement community in Frederick Pa.
