Dorothy N. Kimata was born on April 13, 1930 in Philadelphia to the late Francis and Emily (Scheetz) Sanson. The loving wife of Norman K. Kimata for 64 years, and a dedicated nurse for over 50 years, she passed away peacefully on May 11th at age 88 at her home in Oreland, PA.
Dorothy surrounded herself with music, performed as a concert violinist and as a member of multiple choirs, yet enjoyed even more experiencing this same passion for music returned to her by her loved ones.
Above all things, she loved and cared for her family. Able to see the good in all, she became the good in so many.
Preceded in death by her siblings Robert and Emily, she is survived by her husband; children Steve, Yvonne, Wes (Mickey) and Tom (Lisa) Kimata; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and brother Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thurs. May 17, 10-11 am followed by a service at 11 am, both at the Heritage Chapel at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Ave., Plymouth Meeting, PA, 19462. Internment at the cemetery to follow.
