Obituary of Dorothy Rotzell

Dorothy "Dot" Love Rotzell (nee Back) of Oreland, PA passed away peacefully at her residence in Tucson, AZ on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the age of 87. Born January 10, 1925, in Mt. Ephraim, NJ, she was the daughter of Frank B. and Minnie (nee Sheubrook) Back and beloved wife of the late John T. Rotzell. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Harris and Frank Back, Jr. and a sister, Betty Back. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly.

Dorothy grew up in Mt. Ephraim, NJ and worked as a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Company. She moved to the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA upon marriage in 1946 and worked for the family catering business, Rotzell Caterers, Inc., until 1978. She retired from Aetna Insurance Company in 1990 and lived in Oreland, PA until relocating to Tucson, AZ in 2006.

Dorothy was an avid dog lover and an active member of the Oreland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, board games and puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons - John T. Rotzell, Jr. (Helen) of Ambler, PA and David S. Rotzell (Catherine) of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren - Jennifer Bucci (Jeremy) of Ambler, PA, Jessica Rotzell of West Conshohocken, PA, John Rotzell of Tucson, AZ, Daniel Rotzell of Groton, CT; and two great grandsons - Jack and Jude Bucci.
