Obituary of E. Arnisha Keeling

E. Arnisha (Nish) Keeling, formerly of Roanoke, passed away on January 24, 2014, in Philadelphia, Pa. She was born on March 5, 1930, to the late Squire T. and Anna Bell Keeling. Upon graduating from Lucy Addison High School then Fisk University, Nish taught in several school divisions, ultimately, retiring from the Philadelphia Public Schools. She was an educator of students for over 35 years. Nish is remembered by her nephew, Thomas Payne; and nieces, Michelle Johnson, Sharon Levisy, and Ahdonna Guildford. Her special cousins include Ethel Hughes and Lucy Glymph; in addition to life-long friend, Juanita Cook. Nish's Philadelphia friends enjoyed her giving spirit and generosity.

Nish wished to be cremated and so it shall be. A Memorial Service will be held on February 8, 2014 at Kirk and Nice Inc., 80 Stenton Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. The family will receive friends in the chapel one hour prior to the 2p.m. service. Although the setting is not Nish's kitchen, join us for her well-earned salute.
