Obituary of Edward Graf

Edward C. Graf, Jr., 68, of Hawley, Pa. died Feb. 26.

Survived by his wife, Elizabeth J., son Edward C. III and wife Annamarie, daughters Patricia A. and husband Robert Jacobs, Arlene Hayden, brother James G. Fulton, Jr. and life partner Eric Rymshaw, stepson W. Kirk Wycoff and wife Debra, grandchildren Edward C. IV, Christine and James Graf and step-grandchildren Kirby, Ashley and Jordan Wycoff.

Ed graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 1958 and Spring Garden Institute of Philadelphia in 1962.

His professional career began as manager of Gilinger Garage and then owner of Graf''s Garage, Lafayette Hill, from 1956-1984. He was a certified mechanic and Exxon Dealer. Then, he became General Manage of George Washington Memorial Park 1984-1994. He owned Graf Associates Automotive until he retired in 2001.

Ed was a life member of Barren Hill Fire Co. and chairman of board of trustees for 15 years. Director Plymouth Alumni Building and Loan Assoc. 32 degree Mason, member Fritz Lodge, Conshohocken and LuLu Shrine, Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He worked as a Republican Committeeman in Whitemarsh Township. He is currently president of Colony Cove Homeowner Assoc., Tafton, Pa.

For many years Ed was a member of St. Peter''s Lutheran Church, Lafayette Hill, Pa.; later a Deacon of First Presbyterian Church, Ambler, Pa. and currently a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hawley, Pa. Graf was proud of his German heritage, loved polka music, had a passion for antique cars and cooking
