Edward J. Umberger, age 90, beloved husband of Elsie Lee Umberger of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on December 16, 2024 in Florida.

Born on August 23, 1934 in Pottsville, PA, Edward was the son of the late Edward and Isabel (Powers) Umberger.

Edward had served in the US Army Airborne during the Korean War and was discharged in 1953.

In addition to his wife Elsie, Edward is survived by his children: Laura Kruper and her husband Robert, Robert E. Umberger, Helen M. Porter and her husband John, Edward J. Umberger, Jr. and his wife Joan, Ronald S. Umberger and his wife Sheri, and Geraldine "Jeri" Brown, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Heritage Chapel of George Washington Memorial Park at 1:00 PM with Rev. Julie Dewerth officiating. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park.

Edward's viewing will be held from 11:00 AM on Monday morning at the Heritage Chapel.
