Obituary of Eleanor Kane

Mrs. Eleanor Holmes Kane of Roxborough, PA and 30 year resident of Ocean City passed away on May 14th, 2011. Born October 2nd, 1919 she was the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Mrs. Kane was a homemaker for much of her life and then went on to work as a Travel Guide for Gulf Oil for 10 years. She was a long time member of Leverington Presbyterian Church in Roxborough and a member of The Tabernacle during her time in Ocean City. In addition Eleanor did a great deal of charitable work through the girls club she had formed back as a teenager when she attended Market Square Church. She enjoyed playing bridge as a contract bridge player as well as all kinds of needlework. Her loving nature and sense of humor will be greatly missed by the many lives she has touched throughout her life. She leaves behind two daughters Dr. E. Gail Kane Benshetler and Janice M. Kane Bullock, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
