Obituary of Eleanor Onimus

Eleanor F. Onimus, of Willow Grove, PA on April 23, 2014. Age 92. Daughter of the late Jesse and Marie Fine,she was born in Philadelphia, she grew up at the Baptist Orphanage in West Philadelphia where she met her future husband, William Edward Onimus, Sr. who passed away in 2001. She graduated as an RN from the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing. Most of her career was spent at Abington Memorial Hospital where she worked as a maternity ward nurse for over 30 years. Eleanor was a member of Hatboro Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Loving mother of William Edward Onimus, Jr. (Patricia A.), Sandra Lee Bray (Jack), and the late Donald Jesse Onimus (Judith). Dear grandmother of William Brent Onimus, Keith James Onimus, Edward Alexander Onimus, Julie Ann Ludwig, Jeffrey Michael Bray, Kevin Thomas Bray, Daniel Jesse Onimus, Heather Ann Onimus, Stephanie Marie Onimus, and Jennifer Lee Onimus. Great grandmother of Michael Onimus, Anthony Onimus, Katie Onimus, Ryan Onimus, Ian Matthew Ludwig, and Colin Edward Ludwig.

Also survived by her sisters Anna Schatz, Jeannette Rusinski and Ella Little. Predeacesed by her siblings: Dorothy Fine, Harold Fine, Merril Fine, Charles Fine, Paul Schatz, and Florence Schatz.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, April 28th from 10 am at the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, PA where services will be held at 11 am. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
