Elizabeth R. Flanagan (nee Schaefer) peacefully passed away on December 10, 2020. Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia, PA and resided  full time in Forked River, NJ since 1972. Elizabeth was a highly skilled secretary and retired from Jersey Central Power and Light Company in 1994. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren Quinn, Megan and Kora. She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and spirited games of Scrabble with her daughter Kate and son in law Brian. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Flanagan, her parents George and Kate Schaefer, her sister Katherine Kiefer and brothers Peter Schaefer, George Schaefer and Philip Schaefer. She is survived by her daughter Kate E. Minor and son in law Brian D. Minor, her son John E. Flanagan and daughter in law Susan K. Flanagan and their children Quinn P. Flanagan, Megan J. Flanagan and Kora L. Flanagan. She is also survived by extended family members including many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA at 12:30 PM. Please gather inside the main gate off Susquehanna Avenue at 12:15 PM.
