Obituary of Ethel Knudson
Mrs. Ethel Knudson of Lafayette Hill, PA and formerly of Whiting, NJ and Brooklyn, NY passed away Thursday September 15th, 2011 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia. She was 93 years old. Wife of the late Leonard, she was born in Brooklyn in 1918 and was the daughter of the late Gustav and Hannah Horsam. She lived in Brooklyn for 60 years. While there she worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in the Law division for 39 years. In addition, she was a very active member of the Pilgrim Covenant Church in Brooklyn where she was a part of the Choir. She later spent 30 years in Crestwood Village in Whiting, NJ where she was a member of the Community Reformed Church. There she was also very active and sang in the choir as well. Ethel then spent the last 3 years until the time of her death living at the Sunrise Assisted Living of Lafayette Hill. Surviving are her sons Leonard, Mike and his wife Lorraine, her grandchildren Joanne (Allen), Roy (Chiaki), and Carl as well as her great-grandchildren Leif, Ryusei, and Hannah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Fleming. Services and Interment are being held privately at the request of the family.
