Frank X (Francis Xavier) Huttinger , Commander US Navy, Ret.

Died August 4, 2009 in Worcester PA.
Services with Military Honors were held at George Washington Memorial Park on August 12th.
Frank grew up in Islip, NY, attending local schools. He graduated from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Electrical Engineering in 1941. Upon completing Navy OCS, Frank was commissioned Lt. JG in 1942. He served in the Pacific Theatre in the "Beach Jumpers" unit and on "Project Polly." Following active duty service, Frank was recruited by Westinghouse Electric as an Applications Engineer, working first in Boston, Mass. then Newark, NJ. In 1955 Frank joined ITE Circuit Breaker Company, later Gould Electronics in Philadelphia, PA where he distinguished himself in International Sales until retiring. A resident of Blue Bell, PA since 1955, Frank was an avid golfer. He served the community as a President of the PTA, and as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at The First Presbyterian Church, Ambler. Frank is survived by his wife or 65 years, Mary Rebecca Lessig Huttinger, residing at Meadowood Retirement Community, Worcester, PA, and by two sons, Frank James Huttinger and Richard Lessig Huttinger, and by three grandchildren, Alexandra Huttinger, William Henry Huttinger and Louise Huttinger.
