Gail Dian McLean of Elkins Park, PA passed away peacefully in hospice care in Wyndmoor, PA on October 30, 2018. The daughter of Donald and Doris Horsey, Gail was born in Phenix City, AL in 1951. She grew up in the Germantown and West Oak Lane sections of Philadelphia.  A lifelong learner, Gail attended Germantown High School, Community College of Philadelphia, Manor College and the Eye Institute of Philadelphia.For many years, Gail worked for Aetna; later in her career, she became an Independent Insurance agent. She was passionate about current events, especially politics, and most recently became an Electoral Judge for voting in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, PA.She loved spending time with family and friends, being "GiGi" to her twin grandsons, cooking, arts and crafts, dancing and singing.  Her sense of humor, zest for living, faith and interest in others kept her engaged with life, even as she battled Metastatic Colon Cancer. She was strong, determined and fought to be with her family for as long as possible.

She is survived by her loving husband, Billy; children LaTanya Barkley (Derrick), Troy; grandsons Ethan and Evan Barkley; mother, Doris Horsey; brother, Derek Horsey; a host of extended family members and the many friends and neighbors whose lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her father Donald Horsey.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Trinity Ambler Church, 708 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 .

Visitation with the family will be held 10 am before the service.
