Gene Ronald Rigdon passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021 in Blue Bell, PA.  He was 88 years old, born on December 2, 1932 to the late Stanley and Gladys (McFarland) Rigdon.

Following his graduation from St. Mary's High School in St. Louis, MO, he enlisted and served honorably in the United States Navy for four years before embarking on a long career with Xerox, retiring in 1980.  During that time, he met and married Geraldine "Terry" Green, and they enjoyed a wonderful sixty-three years together until her passing on June 4, 2019.  Upon retirement, he and his son Shaun operated printing / packaging businesses.

When not working, he enjoyed long walks in Valley Forge National Historical Park, reading books about history, and in his earlier days, fishing in nearby streams and ponds.  He was a animal lover, especially dogs and a select few cats.  Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Gene is survived by his three children, Karyn (Jeff) Zinser of Blue Bell, PA, Shaun (Melanie) Rigdon of Lansdale, PA, and Adriana Hogge of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Zachary Kennedy, Joshua Hogge, and Elijah Hogge; three sisters Connie Eden, Mary Pat (Patrick) Prindable, Debbie Rigdon; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gene is pre-deceased by his wife, Terry, his brother Alan Rigdon and his beloved aunt, Consuelo Pearce.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Kirk and Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Ave., Plymouth Meeting, PA on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 1:30 PM .  A service will follow at 2:30 PM.  Inurnment will be at a later date and private at the request of the family.
