Obituary

George Arsenich Jr, of Norristown, PA, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022, age 73. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathleen Arsenich (née Dugan).

In addition to his wife, Kathy, George is also survived by his children: Kristen (Erik) van Bergen, Kimberly (Franco) Pellegrin, grandchildren: Lucas and Sophia, sister: MaryAnn Serafine, nephews: Shawn (Clare) Leach and Michael (Sarah) Arsenich, niece: Colleen McBride, grandnieces: McKayla, Monica, Myah, Jordyn and Jaelyn, grandnephews: Michael, Matthew, Mark, Jaxon and Gavin, mother-in-law: Mary Dugan, sister-in-law: Louise (Joe) McBride. Last but certainly not least his pups: Jimmy and Pearl. He is predeceased by his mother: Mary Arsenich (née Puleo), niece: Danielle Leach and brother: Michael Arsenich.

George attended Norristown Area High School, after which he enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii. Once discharged he returned to his roots and soon started a family. George was an adventurous, fun-loving, active person. He was open to trying anything at least once. His hobbies included everything from dancing on the Super Lou show to tennis to creating art. He was an entrepreneur, creative and self-taught in many things. He loved to tinker with mechanisms to learn how things work. He took this skill and passion to his hobby of restoring classic cars. He was a member of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club for Veterans. He was naturally hospitable and loved to host parties. George enjoyed spending time with family on the beaches in Wildwood. He loved fishing and boating and was a member of Villas Fishing Club. On a rare lazy day, he would love to sit back and watch an old Western or one of his favorite Philly sports teams.

Coaching was one of his most favorite pastimes, which included being very active in E.N.G.A.A. sports. He served as both a commissioner and a coach. He cherished spending time with his daughters, even volunteering at his girls' schools as a homeroom "Dad" and gym teacher. George was loved by his wife and daughters and will be most remembered for his devotion to his family, loving heart, sense of humor and pizza making skills (each one was the best one yet!) He will be missed by all who love him.
