IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gloria Y.
Sonnesso
August 10, 1954 – March 12, 2023
My dearest friend Gloria, 68, left this world on March 12, 2023. She died from ovarian and uterine cancer after a yearlong courageous battle. She was born in Flemington, NJ on August 10, 1954. She received her BSN Nursing Degree from the College of New Jersey in 1976. Gloria went on to receive her Master's Degree as a Pulmonary Clinical Nurse Specialist in 1980.
Because of her giving nature, she helped countless people, from those homeless men hospitalized at Hahnemann Hospital to those critically ill in the respiratory ICU at Hahnemann as a head nurse. She taught and supported many staff who benefited from her teaching skills as a clinical nurse specialist at Temple Hospital.
Gloria was such an animal lover. At the time of her death, she had 2 cats, Max and Maggie. Gloria actually saw Max outside of a grocery store in the rain, crying. Her wish was that her cats would find homes after her passing. They both are now living their best lives with new cat moms!
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her service on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11 am at the Heritage Chapel of George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. Following the service, we will have lunch at Andy's in Flourtown, Pa.
