IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gordon F.
Pearce
November 30, 1934 – September 26, 2021
Gordon F. Pearce ("Pop") passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home in Hatboro to be reunited with his beloved wife Patricia, whom he has missed so terribly over the last 31 years. He was 86 years old, born on November 30, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Gilbert J. and Elizabeth G. (Saltmer) Pearce. He spent his working life as a Telephone Installman/Repairman and was a United States Air Force veteran.
"Pop" was a very giving, caring, and funny man. Up until the very end of life, he was still cracking jokes and making us all laugh. He enjoyed fishing and telling stories about the one that "got away", watching old westerns ("If it isn't in black and white, it's not a real western"), and coming up with nicknames for people ("GPS", "Kissel Deed", "Linseed"). He enjoyed eating dinner out and especially ordering "fried mushrooms" at Outback Steakhouse even though they weren't on the menu. While in the hospital, one of Pop's nurses said "It's patients like him that make me remember why I became a nurse." That's the kind of man he was.
Gordon is survived by his daughter Virginia (Donna) Pearce, grandchildren Crystal Frid, Joshua Frid, Lindsay (Justin) Dodson, Kelsey Maryott, and Katie (Brady) Johnson and two great-grandchildren, Holland and Bennett; very good friends Rich and Joyse Wobensmith, as well as many other close friends, family, and neighbors.
He is also survived by his beloved canine companion, "Lola". In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia G. Pearce, two daughters, Patricia D. Pearce and Deanna L. (Pearce) Frid, and two brothers Gilbert "Sonny" Pearce and Warren Pearce.
At Pop's wishes, there will be no service or viewing. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please consider making a donation to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in honor of Gordon.
Rest in peace, Pop! We love you always.
