Obituary of H. Evans Rhell

Harry Evans Rhell, Jr. of Southampton died Tuesday August 17, 2010. Evans was born June 6, 1918 in Philadelphia, the son of the late Ruth Rhell (nee - Shepherd) and the late Harry Evans Rhell, Sr.He was raised and educated in Philadelphia, graduated from Peirce College with a degree in Accounting, served in the US Navy for four years during WWII with the District Intelligence Office, returned and received a BA degree from the Wharton School of Business at the Univ of PA and subsequently held residences in Olney, Southampton, Buckingham and Southampton.Evans was the beloved husband of the late Jean Rhell (nee- Gamble), brother of the late Frank Rhell. He is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy T. Gamble (nee- Taylor), his niece Janet Remich (nee- Gamble) and three nephews Bob, Mark and Andrew Gamble. Evans until recently was involved in numerous volunteer activities through the Bucks County Shrine Club and the Southampton Radiant Star Lodge #806.
