Obituary of Harry Williams
Harry D. Williams, died at age 84 on May 22, 2015. He was the devoted husband of the late Janet Williams (nee Snyder). Harry was a 1953 graduate of Gettysburg College where he played football and golf. After college, he served in the US Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge as a First Lieutenant in 1956. Following his service, he worked at Bell of Pennsylvania in Public Relations until his retirement. He was an active member and officer of the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, a life-long member of the Pastorius Club of Germantown and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his daughter; Lori Halfpenny and her husband David, his son; Steven Williams and his wife Lisa, four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends starting at 9:30am, followed by his funeral service at 10:00am, Wednesday May 27, 2015, at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, 8855 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia PA 19118. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Harry''s memory to the American Cancer Society.
