Obituary of Helen Zimmerman

Helen S. Zimmerman, of Conshohocken, on October 28, 2013. Daughter of the late William and Mary Suvitsky, she was born in Philadelphia, PA. Lifetime member of Church on the Mall in Plymouth Meeting and a Sunday school teacher at Conshohocken Presbyterian Church for 17 years. 1937 graduate of Conshohocken High School, she was a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society where she received a 25 year service award. Helen was an employee of the Whitemarsh Township Police Department as a school crossing guard for many years. She enjoyed golf, knitting and crafting. Beloved wife of 54 years of the late Harry D. Zimmerman, Sr. Survived by her children Harry D. Zimmerman, Jr., Nancy J. Zimmerman (A. Scott Carpenter), Jean M. Zimmerman and Elizabeth M. Zimmerman, grandchildren Leah E. Davis, Staff Sgt. Tyler W. Davis, and Bennett C. Carpenter, and her sister Nina Dugas. The family would like to acknowledge the special relationship with her companion, Sondra L. Torres.
