Born in West Chester in 1928 to Edward A. and Adeline (Addie) P. (nee Burnham) Gibson. She lived in many places from Chester county, PA, to Chester, Amelia and Nottoway counties in Virginia, and back to Delaware, Philadelphia, and  Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania before settling in Bucks county, Pennsylvania for the last 67 years. She graduated from Tappahannok High School, Tappahannok, Virginia in 1944. She came to Pennsylvania about 1946 to live with her sister Nellie and to get a job. One of her jobs was at Fenton Label Company in Philadelphia. She was introduced to her future husband at an evening service, by another sister, Madeline, at her church. Madeline was living in the area as well. LeVirt married David A. Pero in February 1947 and resided at that time in Upper Darby. They eventually bought their first home in Hatboro, Montgomery County and had 4 children while there. LeVirt and David joined Davisville Baptist Church in 1953, where they remained members until their home-goings. The family moved to Davisville for 4 years, then to Ivyland where she lived for 55 years. She was preceded by her husband, David, January 13, 1980 and her daughter, Joyce, November 6, 2006.
