Herbert Lee Rector, Jr. passed away in Wyncote, PA on Monday, September 7, 2020. He was 82. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 7, 1938, he was a child of late Herbert Lee Rector Sr. and Thelma (Alston) Rector.

A former Air Force member and resident of Roslyn, PA, he spent his working life as an electrician. He worked for AAA in Center City Philadelphia as an Electrician for 22 years until his retirement in 2000. When he was not working, he enjoyed teaching others Reiki and Matrix Energetics.

Herbert is survived by three sons and a daughter: Michael Rector, Kevin Rector, David Rector (Atiya) and daughter Gina Johnson (Roderick). Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Betty Rector who passed away in 1999.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services will be private at the request of the family. A memorial service may be held at a later date when the restrictions surrounding the pandemic are lifted.
