Obituary of Herbert Spellman

SPELLMAN, HERBERT A. Sr. formerly of Germantown, on July 19, 2009. Age 89. A World War II veteran, he proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver for Rohm and Haas. He was a trustee and head usher at Advocate St. Stephens Church and was an avid golfer. Mr. Spellman, a professional fighter, was the amateur middle weight champion of the West Coast. He was a strict and loving father to Carlton, Donald, Marlene, Darlene, Herbert, Jr., Deurward, the late Carey and the late Darryl. Beloved husband of the late Annie Spellman. His brother Jimmy also survives him.
