Howard Edwin Stearns Jr., 90, of Abington, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2016.
Howard was born in Philadelphia to Howard and Mabel Stearns on July 11, 1925. He married Bobette Crawford on June 27, 1953 in Philadelphia. He graduated from Drexel University in 1951 with a chemical engineering degree and worked as an engineer for most of his career. Howard loved baseball and was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. Also, he loved genealogy, history, and spending time with his family.
Howard is preceded in death by his son Robert John Stearns and his granddaughter Kimberly Ann Stearns.
Howard is survived by his wife, Bobette, his children, Howard (Marge), Janice, Joseph (Sherri), and David (Ann Marie), and Dianne Quinn (Stearns), 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Kirk & Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, PA. 19462. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m.
