Obituary of Hugh Reid
REID, HUGH PATRICK, of Blue Bell, on October 28, 2008. Age 86. Born in Ireland, County Derry, he was the son of the late Kate Alice (nee Padden) and William Reid. He was an electrical technician with Honeywell. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a paratrooper with the 17th Airborne Div. and received the Purple Heart. He belonged to the American Legion in Ambler.
Beloved husband of Jane (nee Mains). Loving father of Eileen Everhardt (Augustus Everhardt 5th), and Sheila Mirto (Domenic Mirto). Also survived by his grandchildren Augustus Everhardt 6th and Christopher Everhardt, his sister, Mary Costigan and brother, John Reid. He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas, William and Joseph.
