IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Farrington
February 7, 1958 – December 16, 2025
James Farrington, 67 of Blue Bell, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday,
December 16, 2025.
Jim was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Fort Washington. He was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, attended Berklee College of Music, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University. He was a Probation Officer for Montgomery County until his retirement in 2009.
Music played a large part in his life and for years he was a member and lead guitarist of The Right Boys. He earned his third-degree black belt, taught karate and guitar, possessed a fantastic sense of humor, was loyal to fault, and he stepped into the role of caregiver to our parents with exceptional patience and strength. Jimmy was truly a kind and gentle soul. We are heartbroken at his passing but have faith that he is with our mom and dad and pray he is finally at peace. Words cannot express how much we are grieving his loss.
Son of the late Robert and Nancy Farrington (nee: Haggerty), Jim is survived by his siblings Robert Farrington (Denise), and Joanne McCullough (John); his beloved nieces and nephew Julie McCullough, Kevin McCullough, Amy McCullough (Joe Fetzer), Kristin DiPietro (David); and great niece and nephews Ashton Fetzer, Joseph DiPietro, and Julianna DiPietro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's visitation at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at noon with Father Carl F. Janicki officiating. Jim will be laid to rest with his family at George Washington Memorial Park following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA ( https://bvspca.org/ )
