James "Jim" Francis Luker, age 82, husband of Jeanne (Grandell) Luker of Plymouth Meeting, PA, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 in Plymouth Meeting.

Born on October 11, 1939 in Boston, MA, Jim was the son of the late George and Lucy (Rossiter) Luker.

He was a graduate of Maynard High School, class of 1957 where he was a 3 sport athlete and Honor student. He continued his studies at Boston university where he was captain of the BU football team and graduated in 1961.

Jim married his high school sweetheart Jeanne Grandell and moved to Philadelphia in 1961 and settled in Plymouth Meeting in 1966.

He worked at Xerox for 30 years, retiring as a Global Account Manager.

After retirement, Jim volunteered at the AVID program at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, hunting, and shooting. He was an excellent cook and loved good food. He was an avid reader of history, an expert in Civil War history,telling stories, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

He was a lifelong member of Epiphany of our Lord Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to his loving wife Jeanne, Jim is survived by his children: Mark Luker and his wife Sarah, and Amy Luker. His grandchildren: Emily, Andrew and his wife Kate, and Benjamin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his viewing on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM followed by his service of Christian burial at 1:30 PM.
