James J. Missimer, 56, of Pottstown and formerly of Morton and Prospect Park, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2017, at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care in Phoenixville Hospital. He was born in Chester on August 2, 1960 and was a loving father, son, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and friend. Jim loved music, taking trips with his son Will, spending time with family, and was an avid gamer, with friends all over the world. He was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor J. Missimer and a sister, Diana C. Claypole.
He is survived by his children Melisa (Michael) Romano, Paul (Starr) DeVito, and William Missimer; father, Leonard (Evelyn) Missimer; sisters Eleanor Missimer, Patricia (James) Cochran, Carol (Paul Patton) Missimer Snyder, and Shirley Exley; brothers Leonard Missimer Jr., David (Pam) Missimer, Michael Missimer, and Scott (Denise) Exley; grandchildren Avabelle and Michael Romano and Alyvia and Savannah DeVito; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and a great nephew.
