Janice B. Harth passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.  She was 81 years old, born on October 26, 1938 in Ashland, Alabama to the late Arthur Owen and Mary ( nee Hobbs) Burdette.

She was a very accomplished woman, being an alumnus of Jacksonville State University and Auburn University. When she moved to Pennsylvania, she graduated magna cum laude at Montgomery County Community College, and ultimately received a Bachelor's of Pharmacy degree from Temple University. She worked as a pharmacist at AARP for many years before changing companies and retiring from Express Scripts.

She enjoyed gardening, being active in the church, and was a passionate shopper with a keen eye on fashion, beauty, and finding great deals.  But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved her family immensely and was the organizer for many family gatherings. Her southern charm and hospitality were known by all and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Janice is survived by her husband of 48 years, Allyn E. Harth, sons Jeffrey Harth (Adri) and Gregory Harth (Misty), daughter Amy Vakil (Jeffrey), grandchildren Juan, Lara, Kira, Lily, Maya, and Chloe, and many other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her sister Shirley Burdette.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, services for Janice will be private as requested by her family.  They deeply appreciate your support and assistance through this difficult time, and there will be a memorial service for her once it is safe for all to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Janice to the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion, Abington-Jefferson Health at 3941 Commerce Ave., Willow Grove, PA 19090.
