Obituary

Janice N. (Myers) Evans, beloved wife of the late Edward P. "Mags" Evans of Limerick, formerly of East Norriton & Jeffersonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She was 88 years old.

Born on August 23, 1933 in Jeffersonville, she was a daughter of the late William H. of Philadelphia and Ethel (Parks) Myers of Dublin, Ireland.

Janice grew up on a little farm on Potts Avenue in Jeffersonville, attended Burnside Elementary School, and was a graduate of Norristown High School, class of 1951. In 1957, she married Edward P. "Maggs" Evans from Fairview Village and raised their 4 children in East Norriton.

Janice and Ed were very much involved with their children's activities whether it be baseball, basketball, softball, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, a 4-H mom, camping and so much more!

In Janice's early years, she was a member of the Regatta Club and twirled a baton on water skis. When she was in her early 80's, she won walking and running medals in the Montco Senior Games.

She was a HUGE Elvis fan, avid Volksmarcher, and had fun as a Boombadear. She loved to dance.

Janice will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, and laughter.She was a happy, loving soul and an unforgettable friend to many.

Janice is survived by her 2 sons: Douglas E. Evans (Jane Dellaporte) of Harleysville, and Michael D. Evans (Janice Kulp) of Coventryville. Her 2 daughters: Celeste Alessandrini (Ralph) of Limerick, and Jacqueline Lord (Rick) of Spring City..Janice was the devoted grandmother of 6 and great grandmother to 9. She was the sister of Shirley MacFarland and Leonard Buck Myers.

In addition to her loving husband, Janice was preceded in death by her brothers: Bud and William Myers, and her sister Elaine Schonberger.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Janice's visitation on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Kirk & Nice Funeral Home at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting at 10:00 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev Julie DeWerth officiating. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park mausoleum.
