Obituary

Jimmie Medley was Born in Halifax County Virginia, August 7, 1939, and was raised in a Christian home. Parents Mr. Warner and Christeen Medley. Jimmie is the sixth of nine children; two brothers and six sisters. At age nine Jimmie accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and united with Vernon Hill Baptist Church in Halifax County VA.

Jimmie attended the Halifax training High School in Halifax County Virginia. As a young man, he moved to Philadelphia, PA.  After meeting Miss Mary Speight, after two and a half years, they were united in marriage according to the teaching of the Gospel.
Rev. Jimmie & Mary Medley are proud parents of two wonderful daughters, Victory Medley Jackson (Ricky Jackson) and Mrs. Angenette Medley Fuller. Four grand children, and several great grand children.

In 1972, Mr. and Mrs. Medley moved to Willow Grove, PA and United with McKinley Memorial Baptist Church, Under Rev. Lowell McCown, Pastor. Jimmie served on the Deacons Board for many years and was called into the Gospel Ministry under his Pastor on March 16, 1980.
April 1981 Rev. Jimmie Medley graduated from Suburban Bible School, where he received his diploma, a Perseverance Award. He served on the Board of Directors for 16 years.
Rev, Medley attended the Center for Urban Theological Studies under The Geneva Bible College of Beaver Falls, PA.
Several years later, he was called to Pastor New Day Spring Baptist Church, where he Pastored for 31 years until his health began to decline.
Jimmie retired from SPS Technology as a Machine Operator. In Jenkintown PA.
Left to Cherish his memories are two sisters: Cathy Quick and Deloris Collins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Jimmy was predeceased by Robert Medley, William Medley, Jewell Dixon, Matra Jennings Jearlean Owns, Silvia Hannah.
