Joan Rohner Hedberg peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 15, at the age of 94. Reflecting on her upbringing during World War II and the Depression, she warmly recalled offering food to hobos passing through Norristown in those challenging times.

Joan cherished her friends and eagerly embraced every opportunity for a lively party. While she enjoyed sports like tennis, squash, and golf, she had a life-long connection with the Philadelphia Phillies. Joan and her husband, Henry, built one of the first homes on the 14th hole at the Whitford Country Club. She was a member of several other clubs throughout her life.

After her husband's passing, Joan not only supported her two children through college, caring for her mother while managing the family business in food distribution. True to her word, she retired upon achieving the company's sales target. Subsequently, she remarried and embarked on extensive travels across Europe and the United States, including a memorable journey on the QE2 with a return on the Concorde.

In her retirement, Joan founded the Brandywine Consignment Shop, contributing millions back to Chester County community programs. For 25 years, she devoted her Wednesdays to volunteering at the Thrift Shop, followed by lunch with friends. Friday mornings were dedicated the hair salon.

A cornerstone of her family, Joan adored Christmas, the shore, and her collection of orchids. She is survived by her brother, George E. Glover, daughter Christine E. Rohner, son, H. John Rohner (Lucy P. Rohner), two grandchildren, Eliza S. Rohner and Henry T. Rohner, and her loyal dog, Sherman.
