Joan R. Trunk (Fleischmann) died peacefully at home on January 1, 2021.  She was 89 years old.  Joan will be deeply missed by her devoted children: Linda (Larry), Carl (Christine), Donna and her son in law, Gerard).

Joan was a wonderful Grandmother to her 9 Grandchildren: Jered, Dan, Elizabeth, Lindsay, Reanna, Carissa, Julie and Carl III.

Her beloved husband, Carl, daughter Joanie, and granddaughter Katie preceded her in death.  Joan found great pleasure in her great grandchildren: Seamus, Maggie Joan, Lucius, Penelope and Sam.

Joan is survived by her beloved sister Jane.  She is also survived by her dear friend Nancy Stevenson and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joan was born in Philadelphia.  She was one of nine children born to Fred and Katherine (Rowan) Fleischmann.  She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1948.  The family moved to the Norristown area in 1967.  Joan worked for ICC in Fort Washington.  She retired in 1988.

Joan was a selfless and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.  She loved to sing. Joan will be remembered for her sweet and caring nature, her strength, and her grace.  Always the rock for her family, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Due to Covid-19, the family will have a private burial.  A Mass and memorial service will be celebrated when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, we suggest you make a donation to a charity of your choice or to the Donna M. Trunk Special Needs Trust. Contribution to Special Needs Trust can be sent to Linda Trunk Redding or Carl Trunk, who serve as its Trustees.
