Joanne J. (Chwartack) Lomas, age 85, loving and devoted  wife of William J. Lomas of Warminster, formerly of Narvon, PA,  passed away on April 11, 2022 at Christ's Home in Warminster.

Born on November 2, 1936 in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Lopuszanski) Chwartack and sister of Sonia.

Joanne was a wonderful wife, and beloved mother to William and his wife Mary Ellen, David and his wife Paula, and Timothy. She was the Grandmother to Christopher, Justin, Joshua, Seth, and Zach Lomas.

Her devotion to her family, spiritual life, and service to others was a shining example to many as was her passion for reading and gardening.

Joanne expressed her spirituality through voice singing since childhood in the choir at Nicetown Baptist Church, Philadelphia.

She was involved with Christ's ministry at every church she ever attended.

At Memorial Baptist Church in Huntingdon Valley, she served as Deaconess, taught nursery with her husband Bill, and sang in the choir, or as a soloist for over 35 years.

Upon moving to Christ's Home, Joanne and Bill ministered to special care residents. It was her joy to lead bible studies for women and singing in Sunday services.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joanne's viewing on Monday morning, April 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting.

Burial will follow in George Washington Memorial Park.
