Joanne Rose (Popielinski) Sitarek, age 81, wife of the late Richard Sitarek, of Orchard Park, NY, formerly of Sarasota, FL, passed away on May 17, 2025 in Sellersville, PA.
Born on January 3, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Sally (Kita) Popielinski.

Joanne was a devoted mother and caregiver to her children, a hairdresser, and a home health aide until her retirement. Joanne was one to always help the less fortunate; always thinking of others before herself. She enjoyed traveling just about anywhere but especially on Mission Trips to help those in need. She traveled to Mexico, Haiti, Africa, Honduras and Egypt to assist medical teams, distribute much needed goods, and provide her hair cutting services.

She loved listening to music, attending musical performances, and also took up dance lessons later in life. She enjoyed watching movies and playing board games with her children and grandchildren. Joanne had a strong faith in God and reading the scripture.

She is survived by her children: Deborah Loux, Christine Noonan, Rick Sitarek, and Sarah DeLeo. Her Grandchildren: Kortney Glendenning, Rylee Noonan, Benjamin Loux, Laura Loux, Dillon Sitarek, Blake Sitarek, and Alek DeLeo. Her Great Grandchildren: Camryn Glendenning, Raegan Glendenning and Lincoln Glendenning. Sisters: Carole Holtz, Kathy Downey, Annie Tuttle, and Sally Haynes. Her brother: Larry Popielinski. In addition to her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Gilmore, Wally Popielinski, and James Popielinski.
