John C. Johnson Jr., age 83 of Malvern, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Villa in Flourtown.

John was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late John C. Sr. and Catherine (nee: Crosson) Johnson on August 22, 1942. He went to high school at St. Joseph’s Prep and La Salle University for college. He went on to earn a law degree from Villanova University. He worked at MetLife in NYC for several years before starting his own business in Malvern, PA., Johnson Securities. He enjoyed his childhood summers at Ocean City, NJ and then as an adult in Avalon, NJ. John loved Philly sports, Villanova basketball and reading the Philadelphia Inquirer every day. John had a great sense of humor filled with bad Dad jokes he would use on his kids and grandkids regularly. John was loved very much and will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

John is survived by his wife, Carol Johnson, daughter, Jennifer L. Stearns (nee: Johnson), sons, John C. Johnson III (Nadia) and Jeffrey S. Johnson (Kelly). John was a loving grandfather to Garrett and Taylor Stearns.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Johnson Sr., sisters Kathleen Hill and Constance Carr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s visitation from 10 to 11 AM at the Kirk and Nice Funeral Home in Plymouth Meeting on Friday, May 15, 2026, where fond memories can be shared. John’s memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Father Jeffrey Rott will be officiating.

John will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of the family.
