June Allen Nurnberger, of Warminster and formerly of Plymouth Meeting and Philadelphia, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at home, surrounding by her two daughters. She was 87 years old.

She was the wife of the late Herman Henry Nurnberger, who died September 20, 2012.

Born in Philadelphia, June was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Hassell.

June was a graduate of Frankfort High School, Philadelphia. After graduating, she worked as the administrative assistant to the president of the Philadelphia Gas Company. She left to raise her children and then returned to work as a nursery school assistant, secretary at the Montgomery County Youth Center and finally as an office manager at Cox Realty.

June was very engaged in civic life, working at the polls and serving as judge of elections for Montgomery County.

June loved to travel, had close friends from childhood through present day, and was known for her boundless energy, which enabled her to stay active up until the last month of her life. June was a lifelong learner, taking a keen interest in current events and attending classes, including cooking in her younger years and Bible study most recently. She took great pride in her home and loved to entertain. June was known for her fashion sense and often tailored her clothes.

June was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend and will be keenly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Murphy, and her husband Dan, of North Carolina, and Lisa Snyder, and her husband Allen and their daughter Evangeline, of Maryland. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Milnamow.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service to be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Ann's Choice chapel, at 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA.
