Kristin J. Schaffer passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Reading, PA following a brief illness.  She was born on August 9, 1969 to Carolyn (Karpinski) Pennypacker and the late James "Jimmy" Potter.  For most of her young life, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, J. Edward Pennypacker.

She graduated from Roxborough High School and then spent most of her working life as a nurse, often rendering her specific skills in Emergency Rooms caring for those who needed immediate attention.  She had a son, Jason and a daughter Tiffany with her first husband, George Clampffer, and then was blessed to add a son Mark Jr. and a daughter Adriana with her second husband, Mark Schaffer Sr.

When not working, she enjoyed knitting, making various crafts, horse riding, and bowling in her earlier years.  She loved animals and especially her dogs.

Kris is survived by her husband, Mark Schaffer Sr., children Jason (Betsy) Clampffer, Tiffany (Phil) Barrow, Mark Schaffer Jr., Adriana Schaffer; grandchildren Jason Jr., Kaisyn, Maisyn, Mercedes, Jadin; sister Kelly (Scott) Knight, John (Regan) Pennypacker, Robert Pennypacker; mother Carolyn (Edward) Pennypacker; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.

Services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
